Census Import is an automated task that occurs between your billing software and the Point-of-Sale system
Two (2) Primary reason for the Census Import
- Entries for New Residents into the Point-of-Sale Software
- Update existing Resident entries when key data fields in a billing software change.
The Census Import provides automated addition and updating on resident roster data from the partner’s choice of management systems including PointClickCare, Yardi, RealPage, Netsmart and MatrixCare.
- Generate export files from the Property Management System (PMS) to upload to the point-of-sale system or secure on a secure FTP site
- Execute uploads without manual intervention from the partner or ServingIntel.
- Revise dining system with a customizable and stable import schedule
- Update or repair imported data based on Resident ID number
- Advanced software provides the execution and automation of the product.
How it works:
This is the automatic adding of the residents through the third party integration systems (Yardi/MatrixCare/PointClickCare/Realpage/Netsmart) to the POS system through census import csv. This includes the column fields for property code, room number, billing id, last name ,first name, meal plan type (optional)

Note:
The Census import assists the community with resident customer account entry but DOES NOT fully configure the customer account within the Point-of-Sale Software.
Community Management Responsibility

Community Management is responsible for validating the Resident data imported from your Billing Software as well as supplementing any task the Census import does not account for.
Those responsibilities may include:
- Assigning VIP Auto Discounts
- Assigning Resident Meal Plans
- Adjusting Meal Counts
- Adjusting Customer Charges
- Assigning Price Levels
