Version 2026.6.3 (WPF)

Highlights: Modifier replacement fixes for parent and master modifiers, and local terminal timestamps
BUG FIXES
Parent and Master Modifier Replacement
Replacing a parent item modifier and a master modifier in the same delete flow now keeps the selected master modifier changes.
Master modifier selections are preserved from the saved order before the parent item is rebuilt.
Prevents newly selected master modifiers from disappearing after confirming the parent modifier window.
Deleting Selected Parent Items
Deleting a selected parent item now ignores any selected child modifiers under that parent.
Prevents extra warning messages when a user selects a modifier first, then selects and deletes the parent item.
Local Terminal Timestamps
POS timestamps now use the terminal’s local date and time instead of UTC where local business time is expected.
Ensures reports, activity history, payments, order events, and operational logs align with the store’s local time.

Highlights: Gift Card Improvements for Easier Tablet Use
BUG FIXES
Selling Gift Cards
Gift cards can now be sold more reliably from the order screen.
The selected gift card type is retained correctly when added to the check.
Paying with Gift Cards
Payments now use the correct card balance.
When the card has sufficient balance, the payment completes the check normally.
Fixed an error that could appear when accepting a gift card payment.
Quick Service Meal Plan Auto-Discounts
Quick Service now applies eligible resident and customer meal-plan auto-discounts after customer assignment.
Items added before customer assignment are rechecked once the customer and meal plan are selected.
The selected meal plan item uses the same auto-discount calculation path as table-service seat assignment.
Store-Chargeable Order Item Display
Order items now match legacy SI360 display behavior for store-chargeable status.
Store-chargeable items show in bold in the order panel.
Non-store-chargeable items display in normal weight.
ENHANCEMENT
Larger Gift Card Screens
Optimized for 10-inch tablets with larger keypads and action buttons for selling, paying, adding funds, checking balance, and changing card numbers.
Sell Gift Card and Change Gift Card Numbers keep main buttons visible while using the larger keypad.
Gift card dialogs now scale down when needed to stay fully visible at 1280×720 resolution.
Order Type Service Fee Display
The Select Order Type dialog now shows the configured service fee amount for order types that have one.
Order types without a service fee continue to show only the order type name.
Offline and Online Status History
POS now records local history when the site database connection changes between online and offline.
Each entry includes device, terminal, status change, reason, timestamp, and offline duration (when available).
Connectivity history is automatically cleaned up after 45 days.
Friendlier Card Number Entry
Add Funds and Check Balance no longer show warnings while the cashier is still typing.
A warning appears only if the cashier tries to continue without entering a card number.
Gift Card Audit Trail
Selling a gift card now records an entry in the Activity Audit Trail.
Adding funds to a gift card records a distinct audit entry.
Selling multiple gift cards creates audit entries with detailed gift card information.

Highlights: Name Check Keyboard Layout and KDS Order Handling Fixes
BUG FIXES
Name Check Touch Keyboard
Docked the on-screen keyboard inside the Name Check dialog window.
Prevents overlap between the dialog and keyboard on 1920×1200 displays at 150% scaling.
Tapping the check name field reopens the embedded keyboard after it has been hidden.
Cancel Sale Reason Keyboard
Cancel Sale now focuses the reason field when the dialog opens.
SI360 on-screen keyboard appears automatically so touch users can enter a cancel reason.
Message to Kitchen Order Display
Kitchen message rows in the order list no longer show a quantity.
Regular order items and modifiers continue to display quantity normally.
KDS Void and Message Sync
Voiding a sent item now carries the void state through to its modifiers on KDS displays.
KDS void indicators are preserved when Auto Pay refreshes or re-sends the order.
Message to Kitchen notes stay attached to the selected item instead of being combined into one line.
Kitchen message notes and modifiers are ordered by the original item index under the parent item.
ENHANCEMENT
Customer Lookup Full-Screen Layout
Expanded Customer Lookup to use the full terminal screen instead of a fixed-width centered panel.
Embedded customer search keyboard now stretches with the dialog width.
Customer Search Debounce and Sorting
Seat assignment customer search now waits briefly after typing before searching.
Quick Service Customer Lookup uses the same debounce behavior.
Both modules now share the same active customer list.
Results are ordered alphabetically by last name, then first name.
Blank-name customer records are hidden from visible pick lists.
Meal Plan Option Casing
Meal plan choices now display in uppercase in the selection dialog.
Customer Number Scanner Lookup
Seat Assignment accepts scanned customer numbers from the customer search field.
Quick Service Customer Lookup accepts scanned customer numbers from the lookup field.
Scanner input committed with Enter or Tab performs an exact customer-number lookup and opens the existing confirmation flow.

Highlights: POS layout cleanup, tip processing parity, app-folder logging, and kitchen chit archiving
ENHANCEMENTS
Minimum Resolution Layout Cleanup
Adjusted the sign-on number pad and action buttons to fit cleanly at the 1280×720 minimum resolution. The Open Food dialog was compacted so the description, price, and action buttons remain touch-friendly. A persistent Cancel button was added to the Open Food header for quick exit before price entry. The Apply Discount dialog height and spacing were also reduced so it remains fully visible at 1280×720.
Virtual Keyboard Hide and Reopen Behavior
Added a Hide button to the on-screen keyboard. The keyboard now reopens when tapping or focusing a text box after it has been hidden. Seat Assignment customer search also restores the keyboard when returning to the text box or dropdown.
Responsive Seat Assignment Customer List
Maintained a compact customer list at 1280×720 resolution. On taller screens, the list now expands to show more customers without scrolling.
App-Folder Log Location
Application logs now resolve under the SI360 WPF app folder by default. Normal runs now use si360_logs instead of test_logs. Test log configuration loads only when the app starts in test mode.
Kitchen Chit Text Archive
Successful kitchen printer chits are now saved as readable text files under si360_logs\KitchenChit. Filenames use the check number, with suffixes such as _2, _3, and so on for multiple prints of the same check. Archive folders are retained for 7 days, and older folders are removed automatically.
BUG FIXES
Seat Assignment Customer Search Buttons
Adjusted the layout so the Cancel and Public buttons fit at 1280×720. The Public button is no longer clipped by the shared touch button minimum width.
Cashier Report Employee Login Check
Cashier Report no longer blocks logged-in employees with EmpID = 0. The report now treats EmpID = 0 as valid when an authenticated employee session exists.
Enter Tip Legacy Parity
Enter Tip now follows the updated legacy SI360 process for CustomerCharge updates. Pending Allocation and existing customer-charge tip adjustments no longer add tips into CustomerCharge.Gratuity. Credit card tip adjustments now update Settlement.CashAmount along with tip and transaction amounts.

Highlights: KDS routing feedback, modifier routing fixes, and rapid ordering tap handling
ENHANCEMENTS
KDS Send Confirmation Toast
Send Order now displays a toast when items are successfully sent to New KDS. The toast includes the KDS StationID or StationIDs that received the order. When the kitchen printer is unavailable but KDS succeeds, the toast confirms the KDS StationID and also includes the printer warning.
Rapid Menu Item Taps Are Queued
Ordering now accepts quick repeated menu item taps instead of ignoring taps while the previous item is saving. Items are saved to the database sequentially in tap order, protecting item indexes, modifiers, totals, and screen refreshes.
BUG FIXES
Modifiers Print When KDS Is Enabled
Fixed an issue where KDS enrichment could renumber sale items in memory before the kitchen printer flow used them. Modifier parent references now stay intact, ensuring follows-parent modifiers continue routing with their parent item. The New KDS payload now preserves the original item and parent index relationship.

Highlights: Virtual keyboard cleanup and non-blocking kitchen printer warnings
ENHANCEMENTS
Virtual Keyboard Layout Cleanup
Removed non-essential keys from the new on-screen keyboard, including Esc, Enter, Tab, Caps, Ctrl, Alt, and arrow keys. The simplified layout keeps the keyboard focused on text entry and POS touch workflows.
Kitchen Printer Warning Toast
The “no available order printer” warning now appears as a toast notification instead of a blocking error dialog. Manual Send Order, Auto Pay, and Pay Check flows can continue even when the kitchen printer is unavailable. Items that fail to print due to printer unavailability remain eligible to resend once the printer is restored.

ENHANCEMENTS
Login Screen Button Sizing
Adjusted login screen button sizes for a cleaner, touch-friendly layout.
Virtual Keyboard Touch Input
Improved the on-screen keyboard so letters can be entered with a single tap instead of requiring two taps. Customer search and other editable fields now respond more reliably to touch input.
BUG FIXES
Modify Button Behavior
Modify now opens the configured master modifier groups for the selected main item. When no item is selected, Modify follows legacy behavior by targeting the most recent main item. Modifier rows are blocked from direct modification, ensuring changes stay attached to the parent item.
Modifiers Printing to Kitchen
Fixed an issue where modifiers added after the parent item was sent could be missing from kitchen chits. Modifier-only sends now remain in the print body and are correctly sent to the configured kitchen printer.
Kitchen Printer Unavailable Message
Cashiers are now prompted when no kitchen order printer is available or reachable. Failed kitchen sends remain eligible for retry once the printer is restored.

BUG FIXES
Kitchen Printer Send Restored
Orders continue to the physical kitchen printer flow even when QSR/KDS is enabled. Kitchen chits are created before calling the printer send service. Failed kitchen prints remain eligible for retry instead of being skipped.
Auto-Update Availability Check
Update prompts now appear only when the installer file exists in blob storage. Publishing version.json before uploading the installer no longer causes repeated update prompts.

ENHANCEMENTS
Kitchen Order Sending
Removed the Print Order option from SI360 system settings. KDS-enabled sites now send orders directly to the kitchen without running the SI360 kitchen print flow. Previously saved Print Order values are ignored and reset to Off.
Sale API Version Tracking
New Sale records now store the current SI360 WPF version in the Apiversion field, improving traceability and version auditing.
Menu Active State
Selected menu buttons now display an active highlight. Selecting another menu clears the previous highlight while preserving default menu button colors.

ENHANCEMENTS
Installer Database Setup Fields
The installer now captures Site and Local database settings as individual fields — SQL instance, database name, user, and password. Database names are selectable from an editable dropdown after refreshing from the chosen SQL instance. Full connection strings are rebuilt internally with fixed SI360 options hidden. Existing connection strings are parsed back into installer fields during upgrades. The default install folder is now C:\FPOS5\ServingIntel\SI360WPF. The Azure Blob update URL remains in User Secrets but is no longer shown in the installer.
Auto-Pay Settlement Balance Logs
Settlement records now log before and after SIC balance values. Settlement history also captures billable amount and meal count balance changes for improved audit trails.
BUG FIXES
Resident Discount Cleanup
Removing or replacing a resident now removes discounts tied to that resident’s seat items, preventing meal-plan auto discounts from being left behind as orphan records.

Legacy Sign-On Restart PIN
Entering PIN 123456789 on the sign-on screen restarts SI360 WPF. Matches the restart behavior from the old SI360 Electron version.
Ordering UI Menu Grouping
Quick-service menus now follow the legacy SI360 position grouping behavior. Each menu position group displays on its own row. Menu group colors follow legacy position-based styling. Menu and item labels now display in uppercase.
Auto-Discount Processing Alignment
Seat ordering auto-discounts now route through the main discount service process. Keeps WPF auto-discount behavior aligned with SI360 Electron. Avoids simplified repository-only path for seat auto-discounts.
BUG FIXES
Pay Check Discount Totals
Fixed confirm payment dialog when discounts reduce the sale grand total to zero. Dialog now uses the discounted sale total instead of the original amount. Per-seat payments now respect the correct discounted amount.
Subtotal Computation Restored
Reverted temporary subtotal computation change. Restored previous subtotal behavior to avoid discount calculation side effects.
Employee Cashout Report Test Stability
Fixed full-suite test failures caused by shared POS connection global state. Grouped affected tests into a dedicated xUnit collection. Tests now restore POS connection state after execution.

QA-Gated Update Support
Added support for a single AutoUpdateUrl with optional ForQA device flag. Production terminals ignore update entries marked ForQA. QA terminals can validate staged releases before production rollout.

Updater records the version being installed to prevent repeated package offers. Force update handling skips install when terminal is already on the requested version.
